Page Title Update & Forms Improvement

30/04/2008 - * When viewing an item in a newsletter or product list, the page title was not being changed to reflect the title of the item itself. This means, among other things, that the titles of pages in these sections returned by search engines were always the same. The Page and PageItem types have now been changed to allow the item on the page to modify the page title, and has been applied to the newlsetter and product content types. * The forms functionality has been simplified to make it much simpler to add form input functionality, simply by linking a User Control (ascx) to the page. All our hosted sites have been updated to the new version of SimpleContent.

New newsletter formats

Are you a designer or web developer who has to:

Compromise your website designs to fit a CMS?
Take on the role of content editor because your clients can't or don’t want to use their CMS?
Turn away work because you can’t find a CMS that does what you need?

SimpleContent is a pioneering and, above all, SIMPLE way of managing the content of a website that can take away these worries.

Imagine a website as a series of picture frames; SimpleContent allows the webmaster or owner of a website to update photos, text or information as easily as they would replace the pictures in a frame. Picture frames come in a multitude of shapes, sizes and colours. SimpleContent means that a web designer will not be tied to content changes and is free to concentrate on the design of the web site, or ‘picture frame’ – it can be as straightforward or dazzling as the budget allows.

SimpleContent keeps it simple, so everyone involved with a website can do what they’re best at; design, style, content or functionality.

  • As a designer, your creative flair doesn't have to be compromised; virtually every web site design can utilise SimpleContent.
  • As a website owner or manager, you can update the picture or word content easily using straightforward WYSIWYG admin tools.
  • As a web developer, you can concentrate on delivering the functionality that your clients’ websites demand.

SimpleContent features simple page naming principles. This means every page on a website can be given a sensible, readable name, putting an end to pages with long, meaningless addresses.

This is a SimpleContent managed site. Have a look around and see it in action!
