Pay4OurBigDay Website

12/12/2008 - Webfooted Designs and coderscollective.pz have teamed up to develop a SimpleContent website for making wedding planning easier. Using the site, couples can publish a list of things they need for the wedding, such as catering and car hire. The couples' guests can then make pledges to pay for some or all of certain things from the list. Pay4OurBigDay (http://www.pay4ourbigday.com/) was conceived because the clients realised that many couples already have the things they want by the time they get married. There is also a trend towards people buying great experiences or days out instead of material presents, so they decided to bring the two changes together. Since wedding costs are increasing all the time it was decided that Pay4OurBigDay would be free to use, relying on advertising to generate income. This keeps the couples' overheads down and saves their money for the really important stuff. The Pay4OurBigDay website uses SimpleContent to manage its informational content, and some custom ASP.NET development to manage the couples' list and guests' pledges.

Enhanced Products Module

18/07/2008 - An Enhanced Products Module is now available to cater for any properties a product may have. This means that there will be no need to try to fit your products' descriptions into a predefined structure; simply defining a Product object (and the ancilliary display pages) will be enough, as the system will automatically persist whatever structure is defined by the object. This has been used in the development of the Willans Harnesses website, to be released shortly.

New Website Design

07/07/2008 - Time for a design overhaul of the website! The flexibility of SimpleContent meant that the new design could be applied easily to the existing site without having to change any of the content to fit. The new design is by Neil Coe of Carta Design, Penzance.

SimpleContent is a pioneering and, above all, SIMPLE way of managing the content of a website that can take away these worries.

Imagine a website as a series of picture frames; SimpleContent allows the webmaster or owner of a website to update photos, text or information as easily as they would replace the pictures in a frame. Picture frames come in a multitude of shapes, sizes and colours. SimpleContent means that a web designer will not be tied to content changes and is free to concentrate on the design of the web site, or ‘picture frame’ – it can be as straightforward or dazzling as the budget allows.

SimpleContent keeps it simple, so everyone involved with a website can do what they’re best at; design, style, content or functionality.

  • As a designer, your creative flair doesn't have to be compromised; virtually every web site design can utilise SimpleContent.
  • As a website owner or manager, you can update the picture or word content easily using straightforward WYSIWYG admin tools.
  • As a web developer, you can concentrate on delivering the functionality that your clients’ websites demand.

SimpleContent features simple page naming principles. This means every page on a website can be given a sensible, readable name, putting an end to pages with long, meaningless addresses.

This is a SimpleContent managed site.
Have a look around and see it in action!
